Hand trauma encompasses a wide range of injuries from minor to more severe requiring extensive reconstruction of the hand and upper arm.
Has Your Hand Been Seriously Injured?
If you’ve been seriously injured, go to the ER immediately. While in the ER, contact Dr.Adan Plastic Surgery. It is important you are seen within 72 hours of the accident.

The most common hand trauma conditions include the following:
- Hand pain
- Fractures of the fingers, hand and wrist
- Tendon and ligament injuries
- Nerve and vessel injuries
- Simple and complex lacerations
- Crush injuries
- Joint damage
- Burn reconstruction
Most hand trauma patients that require surgery will need several weeks of immobilization with splints and/or casts followed by rehabilitation.
